Faculty of Social Work faculty and students were recently recognized at a number of events 

On Thursday, Marlin Schmidt, minister of Advanced Education, announced further funding to create renewed student spaces for the faculties of Nursing and Social Work.

Faculty of Social Work researchers recently presented community leaders with findings from the Strength in Unity research project aimed at reducing the stigma of mental illness in Asian communities. 

Michael Hart, PhD, Canadian Research Chair in Indigenous Knowledges and Social Work, said real reconciliation isn't possible without education at Faculty's research symposium.

On March 30 researcher Julie Drolet, PhD, is organizing a workshop with international experts, with the hope of creating an Alberta-wide network of social workers ready for the next disaster.
