Important Information for Student Convocation
Once you have applied for graduation through Peoplesoft (My UofC), the Faculty will check your program requirements and approve or deny your application accordingly. In order to be approved for Convocation, all the requirements for your degree must be completed by the end of April for June Convocation or August for November Convocation. If you have any questions regarding your program completion, please contact a student advisor (Undergraduate advisor or Graduate advisor).
You may view your convocation status as well as complete your convocation attendance information through the myUofC portal. For more information, please refer to the enrolment services website.
The Convocation Office in conjunction with the Ceremonies Office co-ordinates all aspects of the Graduation and Convocation Ceremony for students. **NEW WINTER GRADUATION
The online application for degree is currently open to all students who are completing their degree requirements in the Fall 2011 semester. The deadline date to apply for winter graduation is December 31st. Students who have applied and have been approved for graduation will have their transcript of record updated with a February 2012 conferral date. THERE IS NO WINTER GRADUATION CEREMONY. Students completing their degree requirements in Fall 2012 are eligible to participate in the June 2012 Convocation Ceremonies and will receive their degree then.
Graduate students will have until January 27, 2012 to submit their thesis. All Notices of Completion must be submitted by this deadline date as well.
Undergraduate students must submit outstanding transcripts by January 15th, 2012.
SPRING 2012 GRADUATION
The online application for degree is currently open to all students who will have their degree requirements completed during the winter 2012 term. The deadline date to apply for spring graduation is February 1, 2012. All students are required to apply for graduation even if you do not plan on attending the Convocation ceremony.
