What's New

Amnesty International Conference June 3 The Faculty of Social Work are proud to co-host a one-day Amnesty International public conference on human rights June 3 with Amnesty International. Professor Jessica Shaw will be part of a special panel entitled: Human rights on the frontline: refusing to be silenced with Maryam Shafipour and Yual Chiek.

On Friday May 19, the University of Calgary Faculty of Social Work and Wood’s Homes introduced Angelique Jenney, PhD, RSW as the Wood’s Homes Research Chair in Children’s Mental Health. According to Dean Jackie Sieppert, PHD, RSW the innovative chair, which will be hosted on the Wood’s Homes campus, may represent the future of research in the area.
