Social work students and faculty partner with Edmonton community to raise funds, support for new arrivals

We are very proud of Amanda McLellan, Edmonton-based MSW student, who was recently awarded the prestigious 2015 Indigenous Graduate Award.  Amanda is a member of the Metis Nation of Alberta and her family descends from the Peguis First Nation in Manitoba.  She won the award based on her work on a research project done in partnership between the UofC Faculty of Social Work and Blue Quills First Nations College titled "Living miyo-pimat'siwin (the "good life") Among Indigenous People
