The objective of the Masters of Social Work (MSW) program is to prepare students for advanced professional practice in social work. The Faculty of Social Work offers MSW programs in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge and through Distance initiatives. In all locations, students are required to choose a course-based or thesis route to the degree. The thesis route is appropriate for students who intend to proceed to doctoral studies and/or anticipate a career requiring advanced program evaluation or research skills.
